The newly designed RE/life curriculum aims to ensure that students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is promoted, that students are fully prepared to undertake an active citizenship in modern Britain and that students gain an understanding of the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life. The new curriculum is delivered in one lesson per week to all students in Years 7-10, which includes religious education, Citizenship and moral issues.

The Key Stage 3 RE/life curriculum aims to provide students with an understanding of a wide range of world religions and Life issues. Students are encouraged to respectfully express their own views and beliefs and share personal experiences whilst acquiring knowledge. Students also learn about key aspects of life.

The Key Stage 4 curriculum aims to provide students with an understanding of the scientific and religious arguments life issues such as extremism, euthanasia, poverty and life after death. Students are encouraged to respectfully express their own views and beliefs and share personal experiences whilst acquiring knowledge.
Enrichment is open to all students on Thursday afternoons 2.30-3.30 where students can complete homework, undertake independent research activities or explore in further detail, topics covered in lessons. Intervention for specific pupils will also take place at this time.
